You cannot know how much I love the sport of football.

Unless you have walked in my shoes you cannot know how much I love the sport of football. Football has changed my life in a good way. The way my week goes is based on whether or not the Colts win on Sunday. If the colts are losing, my friends know not to call me and if they lose, I'll be in a bad mood and I won't want to go out.

But when they won the Super Bowl, I spent about $100 treating my friends to dinner.

About "Walk in our Shoes"

In October, 2010, the True Body Project brings an intergenerational "Walk in our Shoes" project to two EngAGE communities of active seniors and neighboring schools in Burbank and North Hollywood for a month-long residency.

Stacy Sims, founder of the True Body Project, asked the seniors and students to write to the prompt “Unless you've walked in my shoes, you cannot know ... ." The seniors and students then collaborated on a theatrical work, using their personal stories as the script.

The resulting theatrical works will be performed Country School Fifth Graders and Piedmont Senior Mentors at 7 pm at the Lankershim Arts Center in North Hollywood on November 3^rd, 2010 and by Burbank Community School Students and Burbank Senior Mentors at 7pm on November 4^th at The Burbank Senior Artists Colony.

These are the stories of the Burbank Community School Students and the Burbank Senior Mentors and friends.

The project is based on the highly successful model in Cincinnati, which asked residents of the community the same question. More than 100 people responded with stories and shoes, which were exhibited for two weeks during CincyFringe. Additionally, a theatrical work was created out of many of the stories and the performance received a nomination for Best Alternative show by the local CEA awards.
